Case Study
Customer A has a large 4 bedroom house in a city suburb and has been using a pay cable TV service for a number of years.
The family had a large plasma screen in the living room that was connected to the main cable box and a second box connected to a smaller TV in the master bedroom.
A short while ago, they worked out that they could stop paying the monthly TV subscription for the movie channels and move to digital terrestrial TV via Freeview instead. With the
money they saved from the subscription, they could buy a number of DVDs each month for movies that they actually wanted to watch (when they wanted to watch them) and have built up quite a collection.

Having seen an internet link for our website, Customer A realised that he could use the existing LAN cable that had been built into his house (it was quite new) to stream digital TV and radio to every single room.
He took delivery of an HMS Home Media Server (+More) and 4 HMC Media Clients (+More) and had them installed in the house.
As it was almost silent in operation, the Media Server and one client took pride of place with his amplifier system in the living room and he had clients installed in 2 of the bedrooms (for the kids) and the conservatory - each with a widescreen LCD monitor attached.
Now customer A is able to stream TV, Radio and his audio collection just about anywhere in the house and he's very pleased that he was able to do it all without taking up the floorboards and installing a bundle of cables a foot thick. Best of all, now it's finished his TV service is completely free (apart from the TV licence fee!)
