The Fusion Network Media Server (NMS) is a one-stop solution to the problem of networking live digital tv/radio and custom content around a large network.
The NMS is not simply an IPTV transmission device; it is a fully interactive server that allows individual clients to dynamically access the multitude of available channels together with useful services such as MHEG-5 Digital Teletext and Audio Description.
Uniquely, the NMS will allow you to define custom channels that broadcast your own content. These channels run side-by-side with the live digital tv/radio channels, as if they were 'on-air' too. Each programme can be defined as being shown at a particular time of day and has its own programme name and description for viewing in the client's Electronic Programming Guide (EPG)

Each of the server's clients is PC-based (thick or thin client), and runs Nebula's DigiTV software. This extremely powerful application gives the client user full access to the data being served in an easy to use Graphical User Interface (GUI). The functionality of each client can be controlled from the server so that they can range
from fully-functional interactive systems, to completely non-interactive display heads. This lends the NMS very well to use in schools and colleges where control over what is viewed is important.
The technology behind the NMS can be licenced as a plugin PCI card with server software to run on an existing server (eg HP Proliant Server) if required.
