Welcome to the DigiTV eHub Wiki
DigiTV is a digital television system designed to take advantage of the facilities already offered by a PC – graphics, audio, memory, processing etc. Adding a DigiTV tuner to a PC enables it to be used as a set top box to view the Freeview free-to-air digital TV channels that are broadcast in the UK. All that is needed is a TV license, an aerial, a PC and DigiTV. DigiTV comes in two forms:-
An electronics card that plugs into the PCI bus inside the computer.
An external unit, which connects to the PC via an available USB 2.0 port.
Both the PCI and USB devices accept a standard UHF television aerial connection, and provide a loop through so that the aerial cable can be routed to other equipment such as a normal TV or decoder box. Installation instructions for both the PCI and USB are available on the Wiki.

About the Latest Version (v4.5)
DigiTV eHub (v4) is the next generation in the development of the Nebula DigiTV digital television platform for the PC. It builds on the previous version (v3.7) with the addition of a completely new animated interface based around Direct3D. It extends the TV/Radio functionality of previous versions with the addition of native management and playback facilities for CD, DVD and Picture libraries as well as enhanced EPG search and manipulation functions.
One major difference is that this is the first version of DigiTV to support Internet Protocol TV (IPTV). Currently, only the BBC's iPlayer service is offered (within the UK), however it is envisaged that more will be added over time.
This platform offers complete native support for visually impaired users with the utilisation of a proprietory spoken menu/EPG system.

The DigiTV-RC Android App
The DigiTV-RC App is a free partner application for your DigiTV software that runs on Android-based smartphones. It allows remote access to the most common DigiTV features, and even allows your DigiTV system to serve live TV/Radio to your phone.
Developers
Even though DigiTV is not open-source, we're making the interface to the application as open as possible so that developers can control DigiTV in the way that best suits them. As with most of this wiki, this section is new and under development so please pop back and check if the information you need is here every now and again. If there is something specific that you need access to via an interface, please let us know via the Official DigiTV Forum.

Application & Drivers
The latest DigiTV application installer can be downloaded from here. To make sure that it is the latest version available, after installing run DigiTV and click the menu: Help - Check for updates.
